Head Coach Application Process

Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club continues to run one of BC's top girls and boys programs and we will field teams at all levels and age levels where applicable. Be a part of one of BC's fastest growing and most successful soccer clubs. Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club is now accepting applications for Coaching Positions for Under 6 through Under 18 age groups.

For Coaches interested for Head Coaching & Assistant Coaching positions for the Initiation Program (Under 6 to Under 7) positions please complete the following Coaching Application Form. U4 & U5 teams will have technical staff coaches at every session. U6 & U7 teams will have rotating technical staff coaches that alternate each week. All coaches will be required to have a Criminal Record Check completed and Respect in Sport training.

Initiation Program Coach Application Process (Under 5 to Under 7)

Individuals that are interested in becoming a Team Official for Under 8 to Under 18 team, must complete the:

CMFSC Team Official Application Form
  • Coaches for U8 - U13 House (Division 3) teams will be contacted by their Age Group Coordinatorto confirm team placement.
  • Coaches for U8 - U10 Development teams, U11 - U13 Divisional teams and all U14 - U18 teams will be selected by Club Technical Staff and contacted directly to confirm team placement.
    • Coaches may be selected on the following basis
      • Level of son/daughter in the program
      • Coaching certification
      • History of coaching with CMFSC
      • Playing background
      • Coaching reputation

Head Coach Requirements

Certification Requirements:
Canada Soccer has developed thea Canada Soccer Pathway (LTPD) and tailored the Coach Education Program into a two-streamed model (Community Stream and Licensing Stream). BC Soccer is responsible for training coaches across the province and is offering coach education in conjunction with Canada Soccer. Head Coaches shall comply with this requirement within six (6) months of their Head Coach appointment. CSA foreign equivalency may be applied.

Club Requirements:

  • Review of the Team Officials Guide

Assistant Coach & Manager Requirements

Head Coaches may have already selected both positions. Please also touch base with your team head coach to let them know your interest.

Club Requirements:
