CMFSC is committed to all levels of program development and competition.

Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club offers a variety of programs including leagues, academies and camps that are appropriate to all ages and levels, with the following goals in mind:

  • Developing outstanding young players with an age-appropriate soccer curriculum focused on technical training and player development.
  • Promoting an attractive, creative and organized style of soccer.
  • Creating a positive learning environment that reinforces the principles by which to train, compete and pursue excellence.
  • Emphasizing the values of sportsmanship, discipline, focus, and commitment.
  • Building self-esteem, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.

    The Initiation program focuses on psychomotor and cognitive skill development. Players move constantly, each with a ball at his or her feet, working on vital skills that will enable them to perform to their maximum potential. Through fun games and activities, they also learn basic running techniques.

  • Minis Program (U8 – U12)

    MINIS PROGRAM (U8 – U12)


    The Minis Program provides an opportunity for players to develop technical ability, comprehension of team play and formations, and individual agility, balance and coordination. Players will be placed on teams that meet weekly for practice and play together on weekends in full games.

  • Divisional Program (U13 – U18)

    DIVISIONAL PROGRAM (U13-U18)


    The objective of the program is to create and provide an excellent experience/environment by ensuring that safety, organization, structure and fun/enjoyment exists for both players and coaches. The environment created will provide an opportunity for players to develop technical ability, comprehension of team play and formations, and individual Speed, Agility and Quickness (SAQ). Players will be placed on teams, and will practice mid-week and have games on weekends.

  • BCSPL Program (U13 – U18)

    BCSPL PROGRAM (U13-U18)


    BC Soccer and CMFSC are committed to a comprehensive approach to improve player development in British Columbia, ultimately, to make Canada a strong soccer nation. Part of the broad-based plan was the creation and development of a high performance league in BC. The league is known as the “EA Sports BC Soccer Premier League”.

    Run Dates This age group will start as U13 transition/intake year in September 2019 and take part in the 2019 Phase 2, season from September to November. The team will also participate in trainings and exhibition games from April to June in preparation for Phase 2. This team will then enter a re-evaluation phase in November 2019. 2007 born players will then play a full season at the Under 13 age group from February 2020 to November 2020. Phase 1 – March – June

  • Adults Over 18

    ADULTS – VMSL & MWSL


    Adult teams participate in the Vancouver Metro Soccer League and the Metro Women’s Soccer League. There are various divisions and teams based on skill-level and commitment with-in CMFSC. Any interest in joining an adult team, should direct their inquiries to the teams themselves as they manage their own registration/roster and costs. CMFSC Academy Info


CMFSC offers additional player development opportunities for all levels of players through our Academy Programming including Player Academy, Prospect Academy, Goalkeeper Academy & Adult Academy. Players aren’t on ‘teams’ and will work with a number of different coaches. They also do not play full-field games.

  • Boys & Girls Player Academy

    This program is open to all players in the Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club from Under 6 through Under 13. The Player Academy will be primarily focused on individual technical development and small-sided games. Players will be grouped based on gender, age and experience.

  • Prospects Academy

    This is an invite only program for players Under 7 through Under 12. The focus for this academy will be on individual technical skill development and tactical play in a small-sided game format. Players will be grouped based on ability.

  • Goalkeeping Academy

    The goalie academy will provide age appropriate training (Under 8 through Under 18) working on the physical, technical, and tactical side of goalkeeping.

    Prospects Goalkeeping Academy

    This invite only goalkeeping academy will provide age appropriate training (Under 8 through Under 18) working on the physical, technical, and tactical side of goalkeeping.

  • Adult Academies – Women’s Academy & Men’s Academy

    The CMFSC Adult Academy sessions are structured to serve adult players that are new to the game, those who want to ease back after an injury or longer break, or those players that have basic skill and are looking to improve on their fundamentals. This Academy is also a great way to meet other CMFSC members and get a great workout at the same time.

CMFSC Camp Info


Our Camps are aimed at all players ages 4 to 12 years old. These sessions are structured for beginner to advanced level players, looking to continue to further their soccer skills during the Spring or Summer in a fun, energetic and supportive atmosphere. With the exception of the Mini Madness Camp, players will be grouped by ability to ensure that their technical and tactical skills are developed in an age and developmentally appropriate environment. There will be different levels of camps offered for those either looking for a fun introduction to the game and continuation of skills development, or for a more challenging soccer environment.

  • Mini Madness

    This very popular camp is for the “little stars of tomorrow”. MINI MADNESS is a fun introduction to the game of soccer and features two hours full of soccer fun. The camp will provide a number of games and activities to give players a very basic understanding of soccer.

  • Development

    This camp is aimed at any player wanting to take their game to the next level regardless of age, experience or ability. This camp focuses on basic skill development techniques and is open to the type of player interested in improving their skills in a fun environment.

  • Prospects

    This invite only camp will work on speed, agility and quickness training, improving individual technical ability to dribble, pass and shoot, and strengthening decision-making skills through small-sided game play.

  • Goalkeeper

    The camp will provide age appropriate training work on physical, technical, and tactical side of goalkeeping.
