BC Soccer announced Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club’s achievement of Club Charter
Standard 1, having met the outlined criteria in the categories of Technical,
Governance, and Administration. The program works to provide a BC Soccer supported
structured framework that benefits player development, provides best practices,
and builds a better future for soccer in BC.
“CMFSC is proud to have achieved our Club Charter - Standard One status, after
approximately two years of effort driven by Executive Director, Sara Maglio
and her team, with the support from CMFSC VP Joe Basic and the BC Soccer team,”
said Alex Barnetson, Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC President. "With over 4,000 players
and 750 plus volunteers, the project was a significant undertaking, however
well worth the effort of supporting a growing movement towards a standards-based
approach to delivery of community soccer services in BC!
