CMF Alumni Shine with Capilano University Against Quest University
Adrianna Babinski, Catrina Olstrom, and Claire Ye, three Coquitlam Metro-Ford BCSPL graduates, were pivotal in helping their Capilano University Women's Soccer Program, achieve success with back to back wins against Quest University. With the CMFSC rookies scoring all six goals, Thursday night's game ended 2-0 for Capilano and Saturday afternoon's game ended 4-0 for Capilano. Forward Catrina Olstrom finished two of the goals on Saturday, while defender Claire Ye, netted one in the game. Adrianna Babinski scored both goals in Thursday's match, and added two to the total on Saturday. Adrianna, now leads the league with most goals, seven, in eight games.
Capilano's Coach, Dennis Kindel remarked, "Catrina, Claire, and Adrianna have been key players for the Blues this season, and have shown great leadership
in their first year. It's not often you see three rookies have such an impact on the field as these three have and I am very impressed."
The two wins put Capilano University in second place with a game in hand and just three points out of the top spot in the PacWest League. Capilano Blues Women's Soccer are looking for a win this upcoming Sunday, October 15th vs Langara College. A win for the Blues would put them tied with Douglas Royals for first place.
