Evaluation Process & Rationale:
Players are continually evaluated all season long during team practices, games, academies, camps, and other competitions by team officials and technical staff. In addition to season observation, the Club hosts evaluations days for each level and finalize teams for the following season at the end of those evaluations. These days allow technical staff to see various players together and see players in different roles or positions on the field. Our end goal is to place players with similar skill and ability on teams to best support development and growth.
The chart below describes which evaluations your child should attend based on their current U12 level. These guidelines have been formulated to provide a positive experience for our players throughout the evaluation process. These recommendations are only a guideline and do not guarantee a spot at that level, nor does it mean that a player outside of the recommendation cannot attend a higher evaluation if they wish to do so.
BC Soccer Premier League Evaluations:
To attend, players must sign-up on Power Up for: ‘2019 BCSPL Player Registration - U13B/G- Intake (DOB 2007 Evaluations)’. There is no charge for this evaluation, and fees will be collected after the team is confirmed. The evaluation schedule is posted here on our website: https://www.cmfsc.ca/evaluations-u13-intake
Metro, Division 1, Division 2 Evaluations:
To attend, current CMFSC members must be registered on Power Up for the full ‘2019-2020 League Registration - U13 Boys/Girls Div 3’ (players will be internally moved to their appropriate division if they make a team). Out of Club players can either fully register, or register for the ‘2019-2020 League Registration U13 Boys/Girls Evaluations’ – this is a non-refundable $25. The evaluation schedule is posted here on our website: https://www.cmfsc.ca/u11-u18-evaluations
Division 3 (House) Team Formation:
All players wanting to play Division 3, must be fully registered on Power Up for ‘2019-2020 League Registration – U13 Boys/Girls Div 3’. The Team Formation day allows technical staff and coaches to form teams based on player turnout, experience, and ability to create balanced teams. We will try to accommodate all registered players, but teams will be based on number allowances. The Team Formation date will be posted here on our website: https://www.cmfsc.ca/u11-u18-evaluations(click the Team Formation Day tab).
All other Club policies (registration, refund, etc) should be reviewed prior to registering or attending any evaluations.
Any further questions should be directed to your team coach.
