2014 BCSPL Registration is now OPEN!

CMFSC Under 16 Boys BCSPL at Canadian Club Nationals
The Canada Soccer Sport Chek National Championships bring together the best amateur teams in the country, for a series of week-long tournaments, to showcase their talents on the national stage. This year's, Under 16, edition takes place from Wednesday 8 October to Monday 13 October in Mount Pearl, NL. The boy's competition features 10 teams, divided into two groups. We wish the best of luck to the Under 16 Boys Spartans and their Coaching staff Les Krivak (Head Coach), Rob Mazzarolo (Assistant Coach), Justin Mattzei (Assistant Coach), and Rick Horvath (Manager).

CMFSC BCSPL U15B Tim Solinger plays for U16 team Dutch 1st Division club Almere City
CMFSC BCSPL U15 boys midfielder Tim Solinger has agreed to play this season for the U16 team of Dutch First Division club Almere City. Tim is due to play in his first game this coming weekend (October 4/5) as an attacking midfielder. During his time at CMF Tim was involved in trials with the Vancouver Whitecaps Residency as well as training camps with both the Provincial and National youth teams. Congratulations and good luck with this new opportunity Tim!

Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today the club’s 2014-15 Pre-Residency roster
The Vancouver Whitecaps have selected their 2014-15 Pre-Residency Roster.  Nine (9)  of the twenty-two (22) players selected were members of the Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club prior to their selection.  This includes the following players, that return to the Whitecaps programming from the 2013-14 Season. Allesandro Hojabrpour, Nikolas Papakyriakopoulos, and Trevor Schenider.

CMFSC U13 Girls and U16 Boys Win the BC Soccer Provincial Premier Cup
Congratulations to the Under 13 Girls, coached by Karim Ismael, and the Under 16 Boys, coached by Les Krivak, for winning the Provincial Premier Cup. The Provincial Premier Cup is the highest Youth Provincial Cup in BC which services boys and girls from the under 13 age division to under 18. The Champions at this level in the under 14, under 16, under 18 categories qualify to compete at the National Club Championships organized by the Canadian Soccer Association.

6 CMFSC Teams Advance to the BC Premier League Finals

BCSPL season kicks off February 22, 2014
The EA Sports BC Soccer Premier League launches its third season of play on February 22 with 29 matches on opening weekend. Opening weekend matches will take place in Coquitlam, Vancouver, Burnaby and West Vancouver.

CMFSC Spartans Wins the Inaugural U15 Northwest League Champions Cup
The inaugural Northwest League Champions Cup took place on December 14/16 in Woodinville, WA, matching the league Champions from the EA Sports BC Soccer Premier League against the League Champions from Washington's Regional Club League.  In the U15 Boys Division, Coquitlam Metro-Ford's defeated Eastside, 4-1 to clinch the title.  This rounds off a remarkable year for the Spartans as the U15 League Winner, U15 BC Premier Cup Champion, and now the U15 Northwest League Champions Cup.  Congratulations to all the players and staff for a very successful season.  More information can be found here.

BCSPL 2014 Season Interested Player Sign up 
CMFSC is continually assessing players within the BCSPL program and outside the BCSPL program for the 2014 season. Any player interested in being evaluated for consideration for the 2014 Season for a respective CMFSC team should register with the following form. Coaches will be conducting evaluations with their team through their training sessions from November 1st to December 31st with all teams being finalized by December 31st.
Please note all requests will be reviewed but not all players invited into an evaluation session, however all players will be contacted by the respective team coaches. As per the BCSPL guidelines, we are also obligated to inform the player's current club prior to communication with the player.

VANCOUVER, BC – Surrey United FC hosted the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL) Cup finals
this past weekend at Cloverdale Athletic Park while Coastal FC hosted a successful U-13 Intake Festival for more than 200 participants.

CMFSC U17 Barca and U15 win the BC Soccer Premier League Cup Finals
Congratulations to CMFSC Barca who defeated Mountain United and the Under 15 Spartans who defeated Fusion FC in the League Cup finals on Saturday, November 16th.

CMFSC Under 18 Player, Kyle Jones, Promoted to Whitecaps Residency Program
Congratulations to Kyle Jones, who has been invited into the Whitecaps Full-Time Residency program for the 2013-14 Season.  Kyle was a member of our 1996 Born BCSPL Barca team and has been a CMFSC member since he was 4 years old.  Kyle is the second player from Barca to be selected to the Whitecaps Residency Program, joining Marcello Polisi.
CMFSC Graduating Players Heading to Post-Secondary
CMFSC has a strong history of many of our graduating youth players attending post-secondary institutions after high school. The 2013 graduating players have continued with this tradition.

Our Under 18 BCSPL Sparta Boys team has fourteen of the seventeen 1995 Born players continuing their education at a Post-Secondary institution. Twelve of the seventeen eligible players have accepted roster spots or red-shirts positions in Post Secondary institutions. In addition there is 3 players heading to Europe on trials with Professional teams.

On the Girls side this season we only have 4 graduating BCSPL players. All four are continuing their education at Post-Secondary institutions with two of the four players accepting roster spots at their respective Universities.

Under 15 Boys Spartans and Under 18 Boys Sparta win the BCSPL Premier Cup
Congratulations to the Spartans and Sparta who both won their league and the BC Soccer Premier Cup this past weekend.  The U15 Boys won 3-1 versus Mountain United.  The Under 18 Boys also defeated Mountain by a score of 1-0 and qualified for the Canadian Club Nationals in October.  The Under 14 Girls Aftershock and the Under 16 Girls Chargers were also represented in the finals and finished the weekend with the silver medal.  Congratulations to all our teams that made the final four as CMFSC was  well represented by 10 of our 11 BCSPL teams in the final four tournament.
